About the Foundation

Glookie Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families of children living with Type 1 Diabetes. We understand the journey that comes with this diagnosis can feel overwhelming—not just medically, but emotionally and financially. Our mission is to help ease that burden by providing families with limited resources access to vital diabetic care equipment, education, and emotional support.

The foundation was inspired by the story of Mia and her family, including the realization of how expensive and complicated diabetes management can be—especially for those without adequate insurance or income. Witnessing this, her grandmother was moved to create a resource that would empower and uplift other families in similar situations.

From that vision, the Glookie Foundation was born. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to grow up healthy, happy, and well-supported—regardless of their family’s financial situation. Our work focuses on two core pillars:

1. Medical Support
   Providing access to up-to-date diabetic equipment and supplies not covered by insurance or out of financial reach.
2. Educational Resources
   Empowering families with the knowledge and tools to manage diabetes confidently.
